Zee5 HiPi Short Video Platform Launched, It will replace TikTok

Tech News

The Zee5 HiPi has been launched as a short video platform, joining the list of apps that offer features like TikTok including legendary platforms such as Instagram and YouTube. Let me tell you, 59 Chinese apps were banned in India in June, of which the most popular app was TikTok. With the ban of TikTok, its Indian options also started coming up one by one, including some new and old apps like Bolo Indya, Chingari, Mitron, and Moj.

The Zee5 HiPi platform has been introduced under the Zee5 app itself, which will currently be available only for Android users. However, its iOS version is still in the works, which may be introduced after some time. Users can create a 90-second short video on HiPi, in which they will have the facility to apply music tracks, filters, and visual effects, etc.

The information on the Zee5 HiPi was first revealed in July, and now a month later, Zee5 has introduced its beta version for Android users. The company has approached over 400 influencers to attract new users to its platform.

Significantly, this time to launch HiPi is definitely quite difficult, as many apps have caught the attention of people as soon as TikTok is banned in India, such as Bolo Indya, Chingari, Mitron, Roposo, and ShareChat’s Moj App. Recently Instagram has also introduced the Reels feature as its short video platform, in which users create and share their short videos of TikTok.

The HiPi experience is going to be like the rest of the short video platform. In this, more than 100 videos will be available for viewing in vertical scrolling, which you can share on Like and other social media platforms.
