Shah Rukh Khan reacts to Jawan director Atlee as he praises Pathaan trailer: ‘If you liked it, it means…’

It’s been more than a day that Shah Rukh Khan’s much waited trailer of Pathaan released, but it seems like people still can’t get over it. Joining the bandwagon late, filmmaker Atlee took to Twitter and praised Shah Rukh for his action avatar in the film. After Pathaan, the actor will be seen in Atlee’s next Jawan. In a tweet, Atlee wrote, “Wowww!!!! Stunning pure action entertainer Pathan is gona be @iamsrk ur a king of mass sir feeling happy and proud to see u in this avatar sir kudos to Sid sir and Adhi sir @yrf @deepikapadukone kudos to entire team Pathaan.” Replying to him, Shah Rukh thanked him and called him the ‘king of mass’ films.

He replied, “Thank u sir. U being the king of mass…if u liked it, it means a lot. My love to u.” Shah Rukh has been actively using Twitter ever since he is nearing the release date of Pathaan. Directed by Siddharth Anand, the film is slated to release on January 25. It also stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham.

The official trailer of Pathaan was released by Yash Raj Films on Tuesday. The over two-minute-long trailer begins with John Abraham-led terrorist group announcing an attack on India. Shah Rukh Khan, as a soldier named Pathaan, is given the task to take down John. Deepika Padukone, also a soldier, is seen joining hands with Shah Rukh in his mission.

Pathaan marks Deepika and Shah Rukh’s fourth collaboration after Om Shanti Om, Happy New Year and Chennai Express. It’s also his comeback project as it is his first full length film in over four years. His last outing was Zero with Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif, which failed at the box office. Last year, Shah Rukh appeared in a cameo in Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra.

Besides Pathaan and Jawan, Shah Rukh also has filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki. It stars him opposite Taapsee Pannu for the first time. He was previously filming in Saudi Arabia and London for the film. It is backed by JIO Studios, Red Chillies Entertainment and Rajkumar Hirani Films. Dunki is due for theatrical release on December 22, 2023.
