Samsung Galaxy S24 series may offer three phones: Report

Tech News

Samsung Galaxy S24 series will be the company’s flagship series that is rumoured to come in January next year. According to a report by GalaxyClub, the series may offer three phones – the vanilla Samsung Galaxy S24, Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra and Samsung Galaxy S24+. The report says that the Galaxy S24 Ultra is codenamed Muse 3. It is likely that the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+ could be codenamed Muse 1 and Muse 2, respectively. It contradicts a previous report which said that Samsung has dropped the Plus model with Galaxy S24 series.

The upcoming Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra is rumoured to come with a telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom which will replace the current 3k telephoto unit on the existing Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra. The new telephoto lens will be a big upgrade offering sharper images and details while zooming in.

Other camera features on the phone may remain the same.

Meanwhile, the company is gearing up to launch its next foldable phones along with Galaxy Watch 6 series at its Galaxy Unpacked event in July in South Korea. The company will reportedly unveil Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 at the event.

According to a report by MySmartPrice via tipster Yogesh Brar, the upcoming Fold 5 phone may come powered by an overclocked Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. The report suggests that the SoC will have a 3.36GHz prime core, with four performance cores clocked at 2.8GHz and three efficiency cores clocked at 2.02GHz.

As per the report, the device will be offered with up to 12GB of RAM. It may come in three different storage options – 256GB, 512GB and 1TB. However, the storage models will vary depending on the location.

Dealabs Magazine, an online outlet, has reportedly leaked the prices of the Galaxy Watch 6 series in France. According to the leak, the 40mm Bluetooth variant of the Watch 6 is expected to start at EUR 319.99 (approximately 28,700), while the 40mm LTE variant may be priced at EUR 369.99 (around 31,200).
