Redmi 9 will be launched in India on 27 August. This information was given by Xiaomi sub-brand Redmi from the official Twitter handle. It is believed that this phone will be the incarnation of Redmi 9C launched in Malaysia in June. The event page on Mi.com for Redmi 9 has been made live with a countdown. With this, some important specification is also mentioned. Remember that Xiaomi launched Redmi 9 phone in Spain in June. This phone was brought to the Indian market under the name of Redmi 9 Prime.

Let us know that the company will launch Redmi 9 at the event on August 27 at 12 noon. It is written on the event page that the phone will come with ‘more RAM and more storage’. Some more information is given on the page which includes the camera setup. This indicates that the Redmi 9 handset will indeed be a changed avatar of Redmi 9C. Remember that Xiaomi launched its Redmi 9C and Redmi 9A handsets in Malaysia in June. Camera modules such as the Redmi 9C square came with triple rear camera setup. The Redmi 9, launched in India, also has a similar camera module, but with two rear cameras.
