The CEOs of four big tech companies in the US faced sharp questions during anti-trust hearings. Actually these companies are being accused that they are not giving opportunities to other small companies to move forward and want to establish their monopoly.
Therefore, on Wednesday, the CEO of the technology companies were questioned through videoconferencing in the Parliament’s Monopoly Anti-Trade Judicial Subcommittee.
MPs there have questioned Apple CEO Tim Cook, Alphabet-Google CEO Sundar Pichai, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos, and Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg for five hours.

Mark Zuckerberg was asked if he copied the features of his competitor’s app. When he tried to avoid the answer to this question, the pressure was asked. He said that the company has adapted the features of other apps.
An MP raised sharp questions related to the acquisition of Instagram from Zuckerberg. Facebook bought Instagram in 2012. During the question, the MP mentioned an email that was between Zuckerberg and Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg.
Referring to this email, he said that it shows that Facebook does not want to let other apps go ahead and either wants to kill or acquire its competitors. By doing so, they have no other option.
After giving this email, Mark Zuckerberg was accused that the company copies the features of other apps because of not letting them grow. He was asked how many apps the company has copied since this 2012 email exchange. However, he refused to answer.
MP Jayapala asked him if you ever threatened to clone his app in order to acquire someone. In response to this, he said that he does not remember anything like this.
