Mi TV Stick will be launched in India on August 5, which Xiaomi gave on its social media handle via teaser poster. The new device has already been launched in Europe in India, where it is priced at EUR 39.99 (about Rs 3,500). With the Mi TV stick like Amazon Fire TV Stick, users can directly stream movies and shows from multiple OTT platforms such as Amazon Prime Video, Disney + Hotstar, and Netflix.

Let us tell you, the full-HD + streaming device is the second device introduced by Xiaomi, before that the company has also launched its Mi Box 4K in the Indian market.

Mi TV Stick specifications and features

The company announced the India launch of Mi TV Stick through its Twitter account, the launch event will be held on 5 August. With this device, you get a remote control, which supports voice control via Google Assistant. It also has Chromecast support.

This device has a streaming capability full-HD (1920×1080 pixels) up to 60fps resolution and it works on Android TV 9 Pie. This device also has Android TV’s Google Play store available, in which users can download and install more than 5,000 apps on this platform. It has popular streaming services like Netflix and Amazon Prime Video as well as games and social media services.

It is not like the Mi Box 4K, which was launched in India in May this year. You can connect Mi TV Stick to your TV directly through HDMI port and it is also small in size. However, Remote TV of Mi TV Stick is similar to Box 4K, with Hotkeys for Netflix and Amazon Prime Video.

Mi TV Stick expected price and competition

The price of the Xiaomi Mi TV Stick is EUR 39.99 (about Rs 3,500) in Europe, but in India, it may be priced less. Let me tell you, the price of Ultra-HD Mi Box 4K in India is Rs 3,499, so in this case, the price of this stick will be less than this.

It is possible that this upcoming device of Xiaomi can compete with Amazon Fire TV Stick in India, which costs Rs 3,999. Most of the capabilities and apps of this device are similar to those of the Support Mi TV Stick. However, with more information, the curtain will arise only on 5 August, the day it will be launched in India.
