Mi 10, Redmi Note 9 Pro, Redmi Note 8 Pro smartphones will get MIUI 12 in August

Xiaomi has announced that it will start releasing MIUI 12 update for some of its devices in India from this month. Initially, Mi 10, Redmi Note 9, Redmi Note 9 Pro, Redmi Note 8, Redmi Note 8 Pro, Redmi Note 7, and Redmi Note 7 Pro will get this update. MIUI 12 is the company’s latest custom operating system (OS) based on Android. It was announced in April for several Xiaomi phones and now the company has started releasing it in India. According to the company, the first wave starting this month will receive MIUI 12 update Mi 10, Redmi Note 9, Redmi Note 9 Pro, Redmi Note 8, Redmi Note 8 Pro, Redmi Note 7 and Redmi Note 7 Pro. Although we do not have an exact date of the rollout, Redmi Note 9 users in India have started receiving new updates.

MIUI 12 brings a new UI experience, including system-based animations and visualizations. It also features an app drawer that sorts apps by categories. Dark mode has been improved. Now dark mode will work well in system apps as well as third-party apps. It automatically sets the brightness of the screen according to ambient light. An ultra-battery saver mode has also been added, which works to extend the phone’s standby time and reduce power consumption.
