Vicky Kaushal and Kiara Advani’s first song Bijli from their new film, Govinda Naam Mera is all set to release on Friday. Ahead of the song release, the film’s team teased fans with a promo video. In the song, Vicky introduces Kiara as Bijli from Kolhapur and promises the best of her dance moves. The song is a special dance number sung by Mika Singh, Neha Kakkar and Sachin-Jigar. It offers a glimpse of Kiara Advani in a plunging turquoise green choli paired with the pink traditional Maharashtrian kashtha saree, baring her midriff. Vicky, on the other hand, appears as the colourful dancer Govinda as they pack an energetic performance.

Bijli is composed by Sachi-Jigar and written by Vayu. The song is said to feature Ranbir Kapoor in a cameo appearance as well. Sharing the song teaser, Vicky Kaushal wrote on Instagram, “Get ready for lightning to strike! The new dhamakedaar tune of the season, #Bijli – song out this Friday at 11am!”

Reacting to the sneak-peak of the song, a fan wrote, “Kiara got popular after doing Shershah! She is such a wonderful gem! Everything of Kiara is just best! Vicky, Kiara will just rock in this song.” “Finally Vicky in a mass song,” added another one. Someone also mentioned, “Can’t wait to see Ranbir Kapoor cameo in this song.”

Govinda Naam Mera is directed by Shashank Khaitan, who has films like Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania and Dhadak under his credit. In the film, Vicky plays the role of a choreographer, Govinda who is accused of killing his wife, Gauri (Bhumi Pednekar)but there is no dead body. Kiara plays his girlfriend and his extra marital affair.

The film is backed by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, and will be releasing on Disney+ Hotstar on December 16.
