BSNL has introduced a new prepaid plan on the occasion of India’s 74th Independence Day. It costs Rs 147 and comes with a validity of 30 days. Along with this, the company has also increased the validity of its prepaid plans of Rs 247 and Rs 1,999 and added the Eros Now subscription with the select plans.
BSNL has discontinued prepaid recharge plans of Rs 78, Rs 551, Rs 249, and Rs 447. Not only this, but the operator has also discontinued Patanjali prepaid plans of Rs 144, Rs 792, and Rs 1,584.
According to a circular posted by BSNL Chennai division, the Rs 147 prepaid recharge plan offers unlimited local and STD voice calls with a 250-minute Fair Usage Policy (FUP) limit. Calling benefits also include voice calls over the MTNL network. This plan comes with a total validity of 30 days and also brings 10 GB high-speed data and BSNL Tune service.
Customers have to send an SMS message to 123 to write STV COMBO147 to take advantage of this plan. Apart from this, the plan can also be activated through the BSNL site or channel top-up.
With the launch of Rs 147, BSNL has extended the validity of the plan for Rs 247 and Rs 1,999 for an additional six days and 74 days respectively. The new change is applicable until 31 August as part of a promotional offer.
Rs. 247 BSNL Prepaid Recharge Plan has free access to BSNL tunes, Lokdhun, and Eros Now content for 30 days. Apart from this, BSNL has also discontinued Eros Now service with Rs. 429 Prepaid Plan. The changes were first noticed by OnlyTech.
Not only this, but BSNL has also discontinued the Rs 144, Rs 792, and Rs 1,584 Patanjali prepaid plans as well as Rs 551, Rs 349, Rs 447 and Eros Now Rs 78 plans. According to the notice published on the BSNL Chennai site, these changes have been made in Chennai and Tamil Nadu circles. However, it is likely that the operator soon takes a similar step in other circles.
